REDIK since ebay gives U an ounce column. My solution? start using FedEx and/or UPS when I can especially if price just slightly off - and I have been bumping all my package weights up too. For me - I archive my listings once shipped & feedback given - so it's a complete hassle to dig all that info up. You can dispute the charges but there is a lot of info they want including the tracking #. Long story short apparently they have installed big, conveyor belt machines in numerous locations to "audit packages" and auto charge the ebay seller using ebay's label system! My scales are 100% accurate and I even bought weights to calibrate it - it was dead on the $$. It was an act of congress to contact anyone at "verify postage" where the emails were coming from.
